How long it takes to set up LLC in California?

Dede,

California’s standard processing time to register a new LLC with the Secretary of State can vary greatly and typically is between 5-10 business weeks.

There are a few expedite options available that can speed the filing process up from 3-4 business weeks, to 2-5 business days (though we tend not to recommend the state’s 2-5 day expedite service unless absolutely necessary, as it is very expensive, and if the state rejects the application for any reason, they do not refund the expedite service fees).

We have these expedite options listed as optional services on our applications. Regardless of which state process time you go with, we always get applications out of our office within 24 hours.
