Hello, I have one LLC in Atlanta GA, how do I register this LLC in New Jersey?

Liliana,

In order to register to do business in New Jersey, your Georgia LLC must file a “Business Registration Form” with New Jersey Division of Revenue. This process is generally called “Foreign Qualification”, as your Georgia LLC will have a Foreign Entity in New Jersey

The process begins from obtaining a Certificate of Good Standing, to prove that your company is in good standing in Georgia (also known as a Certificate of Existence or a Certificate of Status).

The filing process with New Jersey Division of Revenue takes on average seven to ten business days and can be expedited for an additional fee. Even if the process is expedited in New Jersey, you should expect an additional few days to obtain the Certificate of Good Standing.
