Asked by: Tanya - 9 August, 2013 I own a Colorado LLC but now live in Indiana and want to know If I can open a business bank account here in Indiana to make it easier handle rather than having to mailing the checks I receive back to the bank in Colorado. Not finding any information on opening a bank account for an out of State business account thru Indiana Secretary of State website
Answered by: Robert Kowalski - 9 August, 2013 Tanya,

We have many clients who open bank accounts in states other than state of their company registration. Typically, bank might ask for additional documentation, such as a letter from company CPA or attorney indicating that "this company does not do business in the [State]", but oftentimes even this is not required.
