Hi, I am a US citizen living in Thailand and I want to start an online t-shirt company that manufactures locally but is US based, is this possible and how complicated will the process be?

Bethany,
You can form a U.S. company fairly easily, as you are not required to be a resident or citizen of the U.S., nor are you required to have a U.S. address, social security number or identification documents.
We have a research article titled 'U.S. Companies for Foreigners', which you will find helpful in comparing the different entity types you could register, as well as comparisons on the top recommended states to incorporate your business in.
