I don’t have SSN now, either. Before I form a S-Corporation, can I have Individual Tax Number for S-Corporation?

Dear Jinbeom Kim,

Only a U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident can own shares in an S-Corporation (also some specific trusts are allowed). As a non-U.S. citizen, your choice would be limited to an C-Corporation (or other entity types such as an LLC).
