Canadian Doing Business in NY

I am a Canadian immigrant, I wanted to know can I register a business in NY USA?

Dear Sayed,

The quick answer to your question is yes, a non-US person can register a company (LLC, C-Corporation, etc) in the US in any of the states. Some restrictions apply, for example the company cannot be elected to be taxed as S-Corporation.

Also, I believe individuals of certain countries would not be allowed by law to conduct business in the US, but obviously Canada is not one of them.
