Full-time employee in NJ - want to start LLC or S/C Corp

Asked by: Sreeram  — 19 October, 2012

Hi, thanks in advance for providing this service.

I hold GC and currently working for a USA company as full-time employee. Are there any restrictions in general for me to start a LLC or S/C corp business? I dont have any fine-print as part of my JOB offer/documentation. If there are any restrictions what are they? How to bypass? I live in NJ. Planning to register a LLC in Delaware.

Thank you

Sreeram,

Being a Green Card holder puts no restrictions on you as far as opening and running your own business in the US. The only restrictions can result from your job contract, which you should verify with an attorney.
