Registering a DBA in Minnesota
Any company that wishes to do business in Minnesota under a name other than its registered company name must file a Certificate of Assumed Name (an equivalent of DBA or "doing business as") with the Minnesota Secretary of State.
Assumed names must be renewed annually. There is no charge for filing the annual renewal unless the assumed name is expired for failure to file an annual renewal, in which case there is a reinstatement fee.
We can help you research the assumed name of your choice, and prepare and file all the necessary registration paperwork with the Minnesota Secretary of State, as well as fulfill all necessary publishing requirements - all you need to do is complete our simple application below.
