Setting up LLC in the US by American living in Spain

Asked by: Renzo  — 14 March, 2013

Is it possible to set up a company in the US by an American living abroad (Spain). I would conduct business online mostly in Spain at first.

What are the requirements? Thank you

Renzo,

You may register a U.S. company without being a U.S. resident. In fact, you do not need to have a U.S. address or social security number, nor are you required to submit any financial or identification documents.

We have a research article titled ‘U.S. Companies for Foreigners‘, which allows you to compare the different entity types you could register, as well as a side-by-side comparison to the top recommended states, where it would guide you through the online application process.
