Inc. vs LLC - whats more credible?

Asked by: Paul McLaskey  — 6 January, 2011

Do you think a company with “Inc.” give you more credibility than “LLC”? I think people tend to treat companies with Inc more seriously.

Your point regarding credibility in business is well-taken. Although I am happy to say that perceptions are changing.

A lot of large private companies are now formed as LLCs (including Amazon and Chrysler) and more and more people recognize the business savvy in those who own a limited liability company. Perhaps in the future you can consider this type of entity for your business endeavors.
