Florida DBA

Asked by: Russ - 24 October, 2012 Can I use an existing DBA that is being actively used for my new corporation in Florida?
Answered by: Robert Kowalski - 26 October, 2012 Russ,

Florida doesn't allow DBAs to be transfered from sole proprietors to corporations, however you can register a corporation or LLC with the same name as the DBA, and it would be allowed. For example, if your DBA is "ABC Something", you can register a corporation "ABC Something, Inc." and keep using this name.
