Can a DE company open bank account in PA?

Asked by: Lamar G.Ruby - 21 July, 2011 Started a company in Delaware but do business in PA, can't open a checking account in PA, can you help me?
Answered by: Robert Kowalski - 22 July, 2011 Lamar,

Technically and in most cases, you can open a bank account for your business in any state, regardless of the state of formation.

Most banks would ask you to show them proof of registration in their state or a corporate statement that the company does not conduct any business in that state.

If you do business in Pennsylvania you would be required to register your Delaware company as a Foreign Entity in Pennsylvania this way or another, and then you should have no problem opening a bank account.
