Can a Canadian citizen register a LLC in the US?

I am a Canadian citizen in the US under a guest visa. Can I register a LLC in the US? I am starting my own proprietary trading company.

Dear BK,

Technically, any person can own a US LLC, however only those who have the right immigration status with work permit are allowed to work for their LLCs.

Also, many non-immigrant visas have various restrictions on what kind of activity is permitted while visiting the US, so I would recommend you to research the terms of your visa on USCIS website prior to making any decisions.
