In Illinois, can a law firm operate under two DBA’s? For example, could we be called The Consumer Law Team, but do business as “Foreclosure Fighters” and “Bankruptcy Team”?

Dear John,
While multiple fictitious names for the same entity is generally allowed, because you are talking about a law firm you need to consider the special rules that regulate the naming of law firms. We recommend that you consult another counsel on this point or do some independent research.
