California Sales Tax Vendor ID Number:

In order to be able to charge sales tax in California, a company must file an application for a seller’s permit for each place of business with California Board of Equalization. The state charges no fee for this application however the Board may require a security deposit to cover any unpaid taxes and applications are usally proceed within two weeks.

Certified Copies of Documents in California:

A company can order certified copies of its official documents from California Secretary of State. The state fee for ordering certified copies of Articles of Incorporation or Organization is $1 for the first page, $.50 for each additional page plus $5 certification fee per document and $5 for fax return. The Secretary of State takes approximately sixteen business days to mail the certified copies.

In order to sell tobacco products in the state, a company must obtain a Retail Tobacco Product License from California Board of Equalization. The Board of Equalization charges $100 filing fee per location for this service.
